DAY 1: MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 2024 – TRAVEL DAY

Traveling to Athens, Greece.

DAY 2: Tuesday, August 20, 2024 – THESSALONICA

Welcome to Greece! Arrive in Thessalonica, the second largest city of Greece. Meet your local Bible-oriented guide and transfer to the city center, where you will enjoy a walking tour (depending on arrival time). Pass by the White Tower, Galerius Arch, the Rotunda, St. Demetrius and St. Sophia’s Byzantine churches. This important port city on the Via Egnatia was the capital of the province of Macedonia when Paul, Silas, and Timothy visited in 49- SO AD. The city, founded in 31 SBC, became very cosmopolitan with a large Jewish population. Paul preached to the Jews in the synagogue, and God-fearing Greeks. Continue to the hotel for check-in. Dinner & overnight.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2024 – THESSALONICA – PHILIPPI

After our buffet breakfast at the hotel, depart for Philippi, passing by the Lion of Amphipolis (short stop for photos). We visit Philippi, the site where Paul established a strong church and sent his congregation letters (Acts 16:9-33). ‘”‘e see the river where Lydia was baptized, the ruins of a prison where Apostle Paul and Sylas had been kept, the Agora, 5th and 6th century Basilica and the Theater. Return to the hotel in Thessalonica. Evening meeting at private conference room. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

DAY 4: THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2024 – FLY THESSALONICA TO ATHENS – ACROPOLIS – MARS HILL

Morning transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Athens. Arrive in Athens and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city highlights before arriving at the Acropolis. Visit the world-famous Parthenon and Erechtheion temples before going to the nearby Mars Hill (Areopagus) (Acts I 7:22) where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon to giants of philosophy. Following our tour, check into our hotel and enjoy some free time before dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, 2024 – CORINTH

After breakfast, we depart for our morning tour out of Athens. On the way, we stop at the historic Corinth Canal for some photos. , we continue to Ancient Corinth (Acts 18: 1-18) where the Apostle Paul lived and worked, established a thriving church, and subsequently sent two of his epistles, now part of the New Testament. Here, we see all of the sites associated with his ministry: the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Berna, and Gallio’s Seat. The small local archaeological museum here is an absolute must! , we return to Athens in the afternoon with a short stop in Cenchrea, the port where Paul sailed for Ephesus. Evening meeting at the private conference room at the hotel in Athens followed by dinner & overnight.

DAY 6: SATURDAY, AUGUST 24, 2024 – FREE DAY

Enjoy the day at leisure in Athens.

DAY 7: SUNDAY, AUGUST 25, 2024 – DEPARTURE

Check out of your hotel for a transfer to Athens airport. As your journey comes to an end, we hope that the experiences, sites, and memories that you acquired in this land of light, with its deep blue sea, friendly people, and legends of old, will inspire you for a lifetime and will bring you to Greece once more!

Payments breakdown:

  • $500.00 – Non-refundable deposit (per person) due to reserve your spot by *Friday, January 19, 2024
  • 50% of the remaining balance due *Wednesday, March 13, 2024
  • 100% of the remaining balance due *Monday, May 20, 2024

Important details:

  • Everyone will be responsible for booking their own airfare. All flights need to arrive in Athens, Greece no later than Tuesday, August 20, 2024. 
  • Lunches: The tour bus will be stopping at restaurants daily but everyone will be on their own to pay for lunches.
  • Your passport expiration date must be at least 6 months from the date of the trip’s return. If your passport expires within 90 days of our scheduled return date, Greece will not allow you to enter the country. Please check the expiration date on your passport now and apply for a renewal if it doesn’t meet the requirements.
  • We do not provide but strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. You can purchase travel insurance at www.travelexinsurance.com
